Spent the weekend taking the Boreal Wilderness First aid training! Rene was professional, engaging and funny. The course was enjoyable and incredibly useful. (and certifies you with red cross first aid) I wouldn’t go out on the land without someone with the knowledge gained from this course! Loved the outdoor scenarios, northern practicality and hands on training.
If you are a hiker, camper, hunter, outdoors man or outfitter I highly recommend his program!
Can’t wait to take the next level!
I just finished up the Standard First Aid course today and it’s been a really nice 2 days of learning about it, thanks to Boreal first aid and to Renee for the way he taught us, it’s been really interesting and fun!
Took the Red Cross Wilderness First Aid course (20 hours, 2.5 days). Awesome instructor, this is a man made to train others for the wilderness. Finds the perfect balance between didactic and hands-on training. Really takes the time to get to know the students, to incorporate everyone into a scenario to ensure experience and comfort with whatever the wild can throw at you. He personally made all the scenarios so that they were suited for the landscape and was not afraid of getting wet and dirty to drive the idea of urgency and necessity home when necessary. Has all the right gear for the job. Knows where to put emphasis on certain topics, based on priority. Truly one of the better first aid courses I’ve been to. Would totally take his other courses.
My wife and I took the Standard First and CPR course this weekend and it was a great learning experience…Rene kept everyone entertained and involved, and worked in some scenario training which added to the learning….awesome job and I would highly recommend to anyone looking to certified to do a course by Rene
Just finished the two day Standard First Aid course with CPR & AED. Great course and an excellent instructor. The class discussion was informative and engaging. Would highly recommend!
